1997 Field Director,Yellowstone Pipeline Project, Ethnoscience, Billings, Montana

Supervised four fieldworkers on a cultural resource survey for Yellowstone Pipeline in western Montana and northern Idaho. Coordinated logistics, managed project expenses, and directed fieldwork. Serviced concerns of government agencies, environmental consultants, landowners, Native American tribal representatives, and engineering firms. Prepared memos, letter reports, and U.S. Forest Service site forms. Coordinated technical literature research and writing of formal report.
1996-97 Supervising Archaeologist, Nash Harbor Project, University of Oregon, Eugene, and Nunivak Island, Alaska

Excavated the Ellikarrmiut Village archaeological site at Nash Harbor, Nunivak Island, Alaska. Helped establish cataloging and grid systems, and plan excavation strategies. Supervised excavation efforts of five local high school students hired through a government student employment program. Helped plan and implement logistics such as meal preparation and camp management. Analyzed animal remains at University of Oregon archaeology laboratory. Oversaw student workers' laboratory work. Helped establish protocols and procedures for laboratory work.
1995-97 Museum Assistant and Graduate Teaching Fellow, Oregon State Museum of Anthropology, University of Oregon, Eugene

Supervised work of three to five Museum Assistants in collections management. Planned and oversaw accession of large collections, and expansion of storage facilities. Prepared collections and inventories as part of compliance process with Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act of 1990. Inventoried archaeological collections from Katmai National Park, Alaska, for National Park Service databases. Accessioned small collections from archaeological sites in Oregon for inclusion in museum storage.
1992-95 Archaeological Assistant:

Worked on several archaeological projects on the Great Plains. Duties included excavating test units and cultural features, conducting pedestrian surveys, maintaining control grids, operating laser transits and data collection computers, screening, cataloging and sorting cultural materials, mapping stratigraphic profiles, and describing soils. Most terms of employment were for one field season (3-4 months). Employers included:
